The Association is made up of four associate categories:
Full-Associate
- exclusive to holders of a post-graduate degree (stricto sensu) in Anthropology or to professors and researchers, having significant production in the field. In exceptional cases and based on the Board’s judgement, professionals with recognised qualifications may be accepted as full-fledged associates.
External
- restricted to professionals from abroad.
Student
- restricted to Anthropology or Social Science students, having their area of concentration in Anthropology. The student associate may remain in this category for a maximum period of five years.
Honorary
- reserved for full-fledged associates who in the Board’s judgement have made significant contributions to the ABA’s development.
